Greetings, fellow anime aficionados! I’m Chris Young, the other co-founder of anime-figure-reviews, and I’m thrilled to share my unique journey into the captivating world of anime and figure collecting.
Unlike Josh, anime was not an immediate part of my life. However, fate had other plans in store. I met Josh during school, and little did I know that our friendship would spark a transformative passion for anime. Josh’s infectious enthusiasm and animated discussions about his favorite anime series piqued my curiosity, and I decided to give it a chance.
It didn’t take long for anime to work its magic on me. Starting with Dragon Ball Z & then later down the line Bleach, both became as massive part of my life. The imaginative storytelling, rich character development, and thought-provoking themes had me hooked. I found myself binge-watching series after series, immersing myself in the diverse worlds and emotionally charged narratives that only anime could offer.
As my love for anime grew, so did my fascination with anime figures. While I admired Josh’s collection (it is much larger!), it was my later exposure to figure collecting that paved the way for my own journey. I had dabbled in collecting action figures and miniatures as a child (mainly Warhammer 40K!) , but anime figures brought a whole new dimension to my passion.
Josh and I soon realized that our shared passion for anime and figure collecting could be a foundation for something bigger. Together, we founded anime-figure-reviews, a platform where we could combine our expertise and enthusiasm to provide fellow collectors with comprehensive and reliable reviews of anime figures.
Through anime-figure-reviews, I hope to inspire others to explore the vast and enchanting world of anime. My exposure to figure collecting gives me a unique perspective, and I’m excited to share my insights on these beautifully crafted collectibles. It brings me immense joy to be part of this community and to help fellow enthusiasts discover figures that resonate with their love for anime and its captivating characters.
